Terry Scott
Director

Terry Scott serves as a Director in NewStar’s Equipment Finance group responsible for originating, structuring, and executing equipment loans and leases. He brings over 30 years of experience in the equipment finance and leasing industry.

Prior to joining NewStar, Terry was an M&A Director at GE Capital managing cross-functional teams for global M&A projects across GE Capital’s equipment finance businesses. Over his 17 year career at GE Capital he held sales management and business development positions focused on originating customer equipment financing programs for large equipment manufacturers across a wide array of industries. Prior to GE Capital, Terry spent 13 years at Citicorp’s commercial lending and leasing business (Citicorp Industrial Credit) where as a Vice President Business Development he led the origination, execution, and management of vendor-sponsored equipment financing programs.

Terry earned an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago and a BS in Finance from Penn State University. He is also a graduate of Citicorp’s Corporate Finance training program.
