John Rossi

Origination

John Rossi serves as Senior Vice President - Origination in the Northeast and is responsible for originating and structuring middle market asset-based loan transactions for NewStar Business Credit. Mr. Rossi joined the company from CORE Business Credit, which was acquired by NewStar in November 2010. He has over 25 years experience in the finance field including cash flow and asset based lending in addition to serving in corporate finance advisory roles to both private and public company management.

Most recently Mr. Rossi was a Vice President with BMO Capital Markets, a subsidiary of Bank of Montreal, where he successfully originated asset based and cash flow lending facilities as well as high yield debt.

Mr. Rossi's prior experience included originating asset based and cash flow loan facilities with Bank of America, GE and Fleet as well as directing private placements and corporate finance advisory engagements at Deloitte & Touche LLP in both Boston and New York.

Mr. Rossi received his BA in Economics from Bucknell University and MS in Management from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Commercial Finance Association, Turnaround Management Association, and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
