Steven Gallagher
Vice President of Information Technology

Steven Gallagher serves as Vice President – Information Technology and is responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution of all technology-related activities at NewStar Financial. Mr. Gallagher has over 17 years of experience in IT and throughout his career has held positions in the health care, education, technology, and banking industries. Most recently he was Technology Manager for the Microsoft Systems Services group at Northeastern University, where he was responsible for the design, implementation and management of the Microsoft enterprise.

Prior to Northeastern University, Mr. Gallagher worked as an IT consultant specializing in the design of Microsoft enterprise infrastructures.

Mr. Gallagher is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, is ITIL 3 Certified and completed the Babson University Executive IT Leader Development Consortium in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
